Three different games here = campaign has some good moments, but a lot of fairly tedious and not particularly well crafted ones. Story was solid, but you could see they couldn't quite work out whether it was a realistic shooter or a CoD-style Michael Bay affair, and that hurt the design.
Coop is better, nothing mind-blowing but a solid romp, with 6 coop missions, all of which go for a reasonable amount of time (20-30 mins or so).
MP is where it's at though - launching with nine maps, with a further four already added in 'back to Karkand', the MP is great fun. It's got its warts (no private rooms, limit of four to a squad, a few other niggles), but it's also got dedicated servers and server lists, lots of weapons and the great class-based gameplay that BF is known for. It's got the 'unbalanced by design' unlock tree that most games have these days, which is a negative from my angle, but it's hard to knock it too hard for that without slamming most modern shooters at the same time.

Multiplayer - My review of the game is mostly based on the multiplayer aspect of this game. It is a great FPS title, but on consoles I imagine it does not have the same feel as it does for people who play this on PC. Still online gameplay is fun and up to the usual battlefield standard and my preferred FPS title of the year

Campaign
Imitate other shooters and fails to be better. Bad moments far outweigh the good ones. Lifeless characters, nothing to connect to. No real destructible environments. No control over flying vehicles, relegated to gunners seat. Too much hand holding, no freedom whatsoever.
Multiplayer
Maps have great sense of scale. Each map has its own distinct feel. Great sandbox style gameplay, especially in Conquest mode. Action is intense and thrilling with a full squad of mates. Rush still has the usual bottlenecks, flanking campers can sometimes be impossible and frustrating, mainly when attacking. Maps feel restricted as opposed to Conquest mode.
Overall
Forget about the single player, multiplayer on conquest is the only way to get the true Battlefield experience.
